Mitchell earns a second appearance on the All-State first team after helping Bay View capture a share of the Division I regular-season title and then make a return trip to the state finals. A smooth fielder with a strong, accurate throw, the junior made a seamless transition from second base to shortstop this season, committing just two errors. Once again one of the Bengals’ offensive leaders, Mitchell batted .375, hitting a team-high four home runs and driving in a team-leading 16 RBI.
