Swimming All-StatesKaitlin Reilly06:00 PM EDT on Thursday, April 24, 2008 Reilly became one of the best stories of the winter sports season when she became a state champion in only her third year of competitive swimming. Unlike most of the state's top high school swimmers, who came up through the ranks of youth swimming programs, Reilly didn't start her competitive swimming career until her sophomore year at La Salle. Yet she won this year's 50-yard freestyle title with a time of 25.29. The 50-yard state title and Reilly's second-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle led La Salle to its first girls state team swimming championship.
