Kyle Burke Burke closed out his outstanding high school career by winning his third consecutive state singles title and leading South Kingstown to its 11th consecutive state team title.Jesse Frieder An All-State and state singles tourney finalist as a freshman in 2007, Frieder returned to high school competition this season after not playing last year and rose to the top of the state high school net ladder.Vidith Huot The top player in Division III, Huot also was one of the top four players in the state for the second straight season.Cliff Bueno de Mesquita Bueno de Mesquita moved up to the No. 2 spot in the South Kingstown singles lineup this season and once again played a major role in the Rebels' drive to the state team title while earning his second straight first-team All-State honor.Dan Hansen A second-team All-Stater last season, this year Hansen moved up to the first team after a season in which he posted one of the top regular-season records among Division I singles players and also reached the quarterfinal round of the state singles tourney.Andrew Burnap Burnap was a major player in South Kingstown’s drive to the state team title for the second straight year.Will Conaway Conaway earned his third straight first-team All-State berth as he helped Barrington contend for the Division I state team title once again from his spot at the top of the Eagles' singles lineup.Mike Fallone Fallone earned his first All-State honor after leading Hendricken to the title round of the state team tournament and also reaching the quarterfinal round of the state singles tourney.Ryan McCooey The latest member of the McCooey family to earn All-State tennis honors, the Mount junior posted one of the top records among No. 1 singles players in Division I.Chris Corrigan The only Division II player on the first-team All-State squad, Corrigan established his credentials as the top player in the division with a strong regular-season finish that gave him the best record in the division among No. 1 singles players.
Alex Geremia The Rebels junior sensation rose right to the top of the Interscholastic League girls tennis ladder in her first season of high school competition.Rebecca Curran A semifinalist in last year’s state singles tournament, Curran became the No. 2 player in the state in her sophomore year.Taylor McEldowney McEldowney earns her third All-State selection and second straight first-team honor for a season in which she reached the quarterfinal round of the state singles tournament for second straight year and also led Mount St. Charles to the state team championship.Asha Tipirneni The Lynx star closed out her high school career with her third consecutive first-team All-State selection.Nicole Kyle A quarterfinalist in the state singles tournament last year, this season Kyle closed out her high school career by becoming one of the top four players in the state.Meryl Lawrence In only her second year of Interscholastic League competition, Lawrence not only earned a first-team All-State honor, she played a major role in Mount St. Charles' capturing the state team championship.Hannah Zangari The youngest star on the state high school tennis scene, Zangari was the only freshman to earn first-team All-State honors this season.Katie Gilligan The sophomore standout helped the Crusaders stay competitive in Division I, despite some heavy graduation loses from last year’s 10-3 team, as she moved up to the No. 1 spot in the singles lineup and became one of the top eight players in the state.Laurel Zigerelli Zigerelli proved she was one of the top players in the state as she reached the quarterfinal round of the state singles tournament before losing to Rebecca Curran, the state’s No. 2 player.Kara Hole Hole’s play at the No. 2 spot in the Lincoln School singles lineup played a major role as the Lynx captured the regular-season Division I-South title with a 12-1 record.
