A second-team All-State selection last season, DelSesto moved up to the first team this year after a season in which his play at third singles was a major reason Barrington earned its second consecutive berth in the Division I state title match. He posted a 13-1 record at third singles during regular season and the playoffs and a 14-3 overall slate. His only losses were to three fellow first-team All-Staters from South Kingstown, Jake and Cliff Bueno deMesquita and Andrew Burnap. He also defeated Burnap in a regular-season match.
