A second-team Division II-South All-Division player last year, Topchiev this year became one of the top eight players in the state as he reached the quarterfinal round of the state tournament with victories over two of the top-nine Division I seeded players. In addition to his strong showing in the singles tournament, Topchiev played a major role as Toll Gate won its second consecutive Division II state title with his play at second singles.

What I plan on doing this summer: Play tennis in USTA tournaments and regularly practice for next year's season, and play summer hockey to get ready for the high school hockey season.
