Track & Field All-StatesBrittney Lawson03:30 PM EDT on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 Ranked seventh in the country with her personal best of 165-0, achieved at the Rick Schomp Invitational, Lawson – who earlier this year captured the indoor state weight-throw title - also won the hammer event at the Cumberland Invitational (159-8), the Northern Divisional Championships (155-08) and the Class A Championships (150-03). She was unable to compete in that event at the Outdoor State Championships because of SATs, but arrived at the meet in time to finish second in the shot put with a heave of 37-3.75. A week later, Lawson won the New England Hammer Throw Championship with a throw of 156-08.
