Wheeler capped off her high school career with two more gold medals as the senior won both the 800 (2:15.37) and 1,500 meters (4:36.74) at the outdoor state meet. She also won both events at the Class A Championships and took first in the 800 at the Southern Divisional meet. Wheeler then finished up her season with a third-place showing in the 800 (2:12.74) at the New England Championships and an 18th-place showing in the Open 800 (2:15.65) at the Nike Outdoor Nationals.
