Track & Field All-StatesNick Keeling03:30 PM EDT on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 The 2008 runner-up in the javelin qualified for the state meet in five events; won the javelin by more than 10 feet with a throw of 192 feet, 9 inches; finished sixth in the 200 and reached the final in the 100. “He’s just a tremendous athlete. All year he had his eyes on competing in the state meet and winning the javelin. From his very first throw of 184 feet, he set his mind to it. He wanted to break 200 feet but fell a little short. He did a great job staying focused. It was not just about winning but continuing to progress,” coach Tom Marcello said.
