Track & Field All-StatesVictoria Didi Jusme06:00 PM EDT on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 Jusme climbed to the top of the medals podium a couple more times before closing her high school track career this spring. Earning All-State honors 15 times in her career, including nine first-team nominations, the senior captured two gold medals and a silver at her final Outdoor State Championship in helping Classical to a runner-up finish. Named co-winner of the Rising Star Award with twin sister Mickey as the overall MVPs of the meet, Jusme defended her title in the 100-meter hurdles with a meet-record time of 14.78 seconds. Although the record was later broken at the New Englands by La Salle's Emily Barrett, Jusme held the state mark in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles with her winning state championship performance of 44.69 seconds. She first broke the 23-year-old state mark in that event with her handheld time of 44.6 seconds at the Central Division championships. Jusme also earned second-team All-State honors for finishing just behind Greenwich's Alexa Monti in the 100 with a time of 12.48.
