Monti put the finishing touches on a stellar athletic career this spring. A three-sport athlete –- and an All-Stater in all three –- the senior successfully defended her state title in the 100 meters, setting a new state record (12.12 seconds) in the process. Attempting the 200-meter distance for the first time in her career, she captured that event as well, with a time of 25.35, and was named the Sprints MVP of the outdoor state championships. Monti, who will continue her running career at Yale this fall, also anchored the state runner-up 4x100-meter relay and ran the first leg of the Avengers' 4x400 relay that placed sixth.
