This foursome exploded onto the scene at the Class B Championships, where they set a new meet record of 43.40 seconds. They didn't stop there. At the state meet, they finished less than a second off the state record (42.20) and cruised to a first-place finish in 42.71 seconds. At the New England Championships, they were the first Rhode Island team to finish and the third team to finish overall (43.15).
