Sabatino steadily improved throughout the season in the triple jump, and he capped off an impressive senior campaign with a winning state-title leap of 43 feet 11 inches. Sabatino finished second in the triple jump at the Rick Schomp Invitational (43 feet 1.25 inches) before winning the Northern Division triple jump title with a jump of 44-10.50. He won both the long (19-10.50) and triple jumps (42-02.50) at the Class C Championships before winning the triple jump at the Hendricken Invitational (42-11).
