Westerly tried using different runners in the 4x800 throughout the season, but it seemed like no matter who was filling in, the Bulldogs were successful. Westerly's 4x800 meter relay team finished first at the Classical Classic in a meet record time of 8:21.70 before going on to capture the gold medal at the Class C Championships (8:34.90). At the state meet, Westerly cruised to the state title in 8:08.07.
