Volleyball All-StatesJohn Caruolo06:00 PM EDT on Friday, June 20, 2008 As co-captain of the Townies, Caruolo provided excellent leadership on the floor and played every position that East Providence coach Keith Martinous needed him to play. The versatile Caruolo recorded 189 assists as one of East Providence's setters, along with 127 digs, 102 kills and 45 blocks to help the Townies win their third Division I volleyball state championship and first since 2001. Caruolo works just as hard in the classroom as he does on the court. He is ranked No. 1 in his junior class.
