Also a volleyball player and track runner, Durand brought great athleticism to the Mount squad this winter, helping her team take top honors in the Small Schools Division Championship. Two nights later, she recorded the fourth-highest score (96.5) out of a field of 56 at the Individual State Championships. ``Ashley's jumping, dance and strength aided us in competitions,’’ said Mount coach Bill Dickie. ``She played a strong role in bringing her stunt group together.’’
