SOUTH KINGSTOWN -- Olympian Elizabeth Beisel and U.S. Olympic trials finalist Laura Sogar delivered record-setting performances at the R.I. Interscholastic League's girls state swim meet Saturday afternoon at URI.

Beisel, the junior from North Kingstown High, won two individual titles and set state high school and URI pool records en route to championships in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard backstroke.

Sogar, a Prout High senior, also won two indiviudal championships, including a state high school record and pool record performance in the 100-yard breaststroke. She also led two Prout relay teams to championships.

Narragansett freshman Bianca Spinazzola also won two individual titles and led a team to a relay title.

La Salle successfully defended its team title with a 63 1/2-point margin of victory over runner-up Narragasnett.
