Advanced placement classes. National Honor Society. Muscular Dystrophy summer camp volunteer.  Pretty good basketball player.  It all represents Steilacoom's Marcus Reaves who's the latest edition to the Sylvan A-Team.

Marcus Reaves likes to shoot the basketball and says it's all about getting your repetitions in, something he and his dad work on every day for two hours.

In the classroom, Reeves shows the same dedication, earning a 3.85 GPA.

Marcus is a student representative for the town of Steilacoom's safety committee.  He meets with the mayor, police chief and school's superintendent to discuss and implement positive changes for the school district and the town.
