Newport's Jordan Heide is one of the top girls water polo players in the country.  She's All-State,  and All-America.  She's also a student leader and a peer tutor.  Jordan Heide is the newest member of the Sylvan A-Team.

Growing up, she was an accomplished multi-sport athlete playing soccer, basketball, softball and volleyball.

Then, three years ago, she was diagnosed with two herniated disks in her back. It put an end to Heide's career as a land sport athlete, but the doctors gave her the go ahead to continue with something she had always loved to play - water polo.

Last spring, Jordan was at the top of her game, helping lead the Newport Knights to a state championship in water polo.

After high school, Jordan would like to continue playing water polo. Her college of choice is Brown University.

Jordan carries a 3.95 grade point average, and her career goals include journalism and law.
