Juanita's Malia Jurick is in diving season right now, but she's also a Rebel cheerleader, and throws the discus as well.  All those activities, plus a 4.0 GPA, makes Malia a member of the Sylvan A-Team.

Malia works at the Juanita High School pool as a lifeguard and swimming instructor, working with childeren ages 5 to 7.

Two years ago she took an interest in diving and hasn't looked back.

Malia is perfect in the classroom and looks for nothing less when diving.

She has been in competitive cheer since the 5th grade and took up diving two years ago. One reason she took up diving was because it was in some ways related to cheer in terms of having to have great body control while doing flips and stunts.

We're told one of her favorite classes is photography and a dream job one day might be to be a reporter or a photographer.
