A-TEAM ATHLETESierra Olliges01:34 PM PST on Saturday, December 1, 2007Growing up, Sierra Olliges was a gymnast. In fact, it was something she did for 11 years. After enduring too many injuries in the gym, she decided to try something new – diving. "Diving was that same kind of feel. You're all by yourself, you're on that board. Everybody's watching you. It's really quiet," she said. "And I guess that's what I really like about the sport – it's a competition." Something else she did was become a member of the Peninsula's cheer squad. Like gymnastics, cheerleading takes a tremendous amount of practice and dedication. With a 3.93 GPA, Sierra is also an excellent student. She likes working with kids, especially at cheer camps. She would like the opportunity to work in the field of medicine Do you know someone we should honor? Send in a nomination! |
