White River's Kristine Brons is a leader in the classroom and on the court. She keeps busy as part of the Running Start program and ASB, plus she maintains a 3.98 GPA 

Brons understands the role of a point guard.

"You kind of push the tempo of the game so however fast you go, that's how fast the game goes," she said.

In fact, she's always enjoyed being the one who controls things on the court. Kristine also knows how to handle the heat.

"I think a point guard really needs to know how to be composed and they can't freak out when there's pressure," she said.

Brons loves the sciences and likes a good mystery.

"Ever since I was little I loved the Nancy Drew books and I read the entire series," she said.

She would like to be a crime scene investigator.

Finally, Kristine credits sports for teaching her to be a great team player.

"You need to be able to work with people. You can't just depend on yourself," she said. "You need to depend on others too."
