Each of our academic achievers have some special talents.  But every now and again, you get a student-athlete who is especially well rounded.   That's the case this week with Todd Beamer's Sean Thomas.  The 3-sport star, 4.0 GPA student is the latest member to join the Sylvan A-Team.

Sean Thomas has always been adventuresome. He had never been a runner, so in the eighth grade Thomas decided to try something new. He went out for the track team

Let's rewind to Sean's sophomore year. Once again he was anxious to try something different, so he took the advice of a friend and started running cross country.

This winter, Thomas will compete as a member of the swim team. Once again, challenging himself to try something new.

In the classroom, Thomas also has a passion for reaching out to create new things. It's that desire which will define Sean's career path.

But for Sean, the biggest part of high school will be the friendships and memories he's created.

What else does Sean do?  Well, in addition to taking 3 advanced placement classes, he plays trumpet in the Beamer's wind ensemble and jazz band.  He plays piano, has recently picked up the guitar, and when he's got some free time...he skydives.
