TOP STORIES2A boys: Lynden holds on in closing moments to take 4th10:41 PM PST on Saturday, March 8, 2008TACOMA, Wash. - Adam DeLange had 13 points, including hitting three free throws in the final minute as Lynden held for a 41-36 win over Cheney on Saturday and fourth place in the Class 2A boys state tournament. Griffin Jones brought the Blackhawks within two at 38-36 after trailing by 10 points at the end of the third quarter. All six of Jones' second half points came in the fourth and he finished with 12 for the game. Jones' layup with a minute to play was as close as Cheney would get as DeLange<s free throws wrapped up the win for the 2007 champs. Cheney (18-9) led 20-19 at halftime, but the Blackhawks were outscored 16-5 in the third quarter to give Lynden control. The Lions (19-8) forced Cheney into 21 turnovers for the game. Brady Bomber and Trenton McKee finished with 10 points each for Lynden. DeAngelo Jones also had 10 for Cheney. Lynden (41) DeLange 13, McKee 10, Br. Bomber 10, Martin 6, Hastings 2, Bl.
