Alfie Miller added 16 points for Mount Rainier (23-6), and hit three free throws in the last 20 seconds to help keep West Valley (21-8) at bay. Jared Robinson added 18 points, and hit 4 of 8 3-pointers, three during the first quarter, and pulled down 11 rebounds. Mount Rainier's trophy was just the second in school history. Mount Rainier trailed from the outset, but made 11 of 18 shots in third quarter -- one more field goal than it had for the entire first half -- to climb into a 51-all tie heading into the final eight minutes. Each team scored just two points in the fourth quarter until 1:11 remained and Morine went to the line, hitting the first end of a two-shot foul for a 54-53 Mount Rainier lead. A tip-in by Theo Bowie made it 56-53 with 45.7 seconds left. West Valley twice got within one, the last time at 58-57 on two free throws by Berndt with 16.3 seconds left.
