SMALL SCHOOLS

1. Althoff (24-1) Who else?  Despite losing to perenial Chicago VB

power, Mother McCauley, Althoff conquers their town by beating both

Belleville East and West this week on their way to winning the

Belleville East Metro Classic Tournament.

2. Mater Dei (19-3) This week lost to St Joseph's Academy before

going on a run, winning all matches in the Metro Classic tournament

before losing the final to Althoff.

3. Freeburg (17-2) Three big wins this week over Mascoutah, Westlin

and Carlyle.

4. Brentwood (21-2) Lost to Ladue, but beat Maplewood and

Principia.  Big match this Tuesday against Orchard Farm.

5. St Dominic (15-3) Three wins (Kennedy, DuBourg and Westminster)

to only one loss, #8 Eureka.

6. Breeze Central (11-5) Won their only match this week against Columbia.

7. Desoto (20-2) Defeated St Pius but lost to Crystal City this week.

8. Borgia (17-9) Five wins against one loss this week, and they won

the Hermann Tournament in the process.

9. Waterloo (17-4) All wins this week, over Triad, O'Fallon and Jerseyville.

10. Wesclin (14-4) Defeated Red Bud and lost to #3 Freeburg.

DIG THESE TEAMS - For the second year in a row, the top two Small

School teams in the area work their way through small and large

schools to reach the finals of the Belleville East Metro

Classic.  This year Althoff comes out on top, living up to their #18

National Ranking by prepvolleyball.com.
