1. MCCLUER NORTH The defending state champions return three Division 1-A players to their lineup. They are the big favorites to repeat in Missouri.
2. FORT ZUMWALT SOUTH The Bulldogs were the cinderella story in Missouri last year with Josh McCoy leading the way. No one will be surprised this season.
3. VASHON With all of the drama not surrounding the program this year expect the V to be back in contention for a state title.
4. O'FALLON The Tigers made a great run into the playoffs last year with Kenny Leverette leading the way. Expect more big things this year.
5. ST. CHARLES WEST Kramer Soderberg was everything for the Warriors last season avergaing 26 points a game. A big senior season is on the horizon.
6. WEBSTER GROVES The Statemen made it to the final 8 last year behind Drew Hanlan. Are a serious threat to make it deeper this season.
7. WASHINGTON Scott Suggs has made his commitment to Lorenzo Romar in Washington. A special player to watch this season.
8. EAST ST. LOUIS The Flyers will have to reload this year but are among the favorites in the Southwestern conference.
9. LAFAYETTE Maybe the best junior in the area Tyler Griffey will put the Lancers back on the map.
10. HAZELWOOD CENTRAL Lost in last season was the Hawks who won the Suburban North title. Unfortunatly they ran into McCluer North in the districts.
Others to watch: TROY, FORT ZUMWALT WEST, DUCHESNE, ALTON, WESTMINSTER, PARKWAY SOUTH, BEAUMONT |
