Kirkwood (0-0) The Pioneers don't play the first week of the season due to their Turkey Day game. They will start their season this week at Marquette. Next Up: at Marquette 4. DeSmet (1-0) I didn't expect the Spartans to be back and loaded after losing Steeples and Kemp but clearly I was wrong. A huge win at Mehlville in Week One announces the return of the Spartans. Next Up: vs. Hazelwood East at SLUH 5. Eureka (1-0) The Wildcats grinded out a win over Lafayette 12-7 on Friday. Tyler Tumbull scored the winning touchdown in the fourth quarter. Next Up: at Roosevelt (Saturday) 6. MICDS (1-0) Not a bad start for Rams quarterback Jeremiah Oteh with three touchdown throws in a win over Festus. Next Up: vs. Lutheran South (Saturday) 7. SLUH (1-0) Ronnie Wingo ran for 178 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Jr. Bills season opening win over Parkway South. Next Up: at Parkway Central 8. Hazelwood East (1-0) The debut of new head coach Mike Jones was a good one beating CBC 34-14. Next up is a huge one against DeSmet on Friday. Next Up: vs. DeSmet at SLUH 9. Gateway Tech (1-0) The Jags Anthony Pierson had 4 touchdowns in their season opening win over Soldan. Next Up: vs. Helias 10.
