When you have the number one ranked player in the country expectations are sure to be high. The Wentzville Holt Indians say they are up to the challenge.

Team Leaders: Captains: Tim Melville, David Turnbull, Jimmy Foster

Impact Players: Well, if you haven't heard Tim Melville is the #1 ranked player in the country by Baseball America, and won the Jackie Robinson award for the Top Overall Player last year at the Aflac All American game. He was a first Team All American last year, 1st Team All State, 1st Team All conference (Player of the Year). He has committed to the University of North Carolina, but we will wait and see where he is drafted in June. Over 40+ MLB scouts were on hand for his 1st outing of the year. He currently leads the Metro area in Homeruns with (4) and is a great hitter as well.

Jimmy Foster (lefty pitcher) has committed to Saint Louis University and will be our#2 pitcher this season. He had 10 K's in the opener and will be a huge part of our success this season. He had a record of  6-4 last year.

David Turnbull (centerfielder) has committed to Dartmouth and is our leadoff hitter...plus he is a switch hitter. He was a huge part of our success in 07' and will be a main factor in our run to the Finals.

Challenges: Well, being ranked preseason #1 was a big challenge and #16 nationally. It will be a big season for us if we can handle all the adversity.

Best part of coaching: Just giving back to the game that I played, and seeing my players want to play at the next level.
