Last Year’s Record: 19-5-4 State Champions
How is your team shaping up for ’08: 16 returning rostered players, very good depth, defeated defending State Champion Large schools Fort Zumwalt West 2-1, lost to nationally ranked Incarnate Word 1-0 ( they scored with 4 minutes left in game) in opening week of season
Team leaders: Captains Senior Lindsey Owens and Junior Ali Bauer both are three year Varsity players who are my "voice" on the field, bring a great work ethic on and off the field and are supreme role models for the others to follow and look up to besides being very talented soccer players.
Impact players: Kristen Starkey GK - experienced and sound technically, Sam Andert- three year back who is an aggressive marker and has tremendous pace, Ali Betley- gifted technically with great vision ...Signe' Novak led team as freshmen with 20 goals- two hat tricks and eight goals in final six games last year. Ali Bauer- AAA conference player of year with 10 goals and 13 assists from midfield last year
Challenges in '08: Defend title, consistently meet the challenges of today with quality performances to groom ourselves for the run at another title.
The best part of coaching this team is that they are a focused, fun group of girls who love to compete!
