LOUIS (AP) -- Kolt Kiger kicked a 23-yard field goal with 8:40 remaining to lift Clark County over Maryville 10-7 in the Missouri Class 2 Championship Game Saturday afternoon. The state title was the first for the Indians, who capped off a perfect season (15-0). Maryville finished the year at 13-2. Javis Vineyard, who scored the Indians' only touchdown, led Clark County with 121 yards on 23 carries. Vineyard finished the year with 2,529 yards on 217 carries with 43 touchdowns. Clark County came into the game averaging 41 points per game and appeared poised for more of the same when Vineyard scored from 1-yard out 3:26 into the game. But that was the only touchdown for the Indians, who were held to 281 total yards. Maryville battled back to tie the game at 7-7 on Adam Mattson's 2-yard run 3:50 into the third quarter.
