COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- Hazaria Washington has 18 points, including the game-winning free throw with 7 seconds left, to lead Cardinal Ritter to a 50-49 win over Skyline on Saturday for the girls Class 3 state basketball title.

Neither team led by more than five points after halftime, with Ritter (22-4) scoring most of its points inside the paint. Skyline (27-5), going after its second straight state championship, trailed 47-44 with about 35 seconds left when Maci Wisdom intercepted a pass and hit a jumper to bring the Tigers to within a point.

Wisdom, who led Skyline with 21 points, hit another jump shot with 15 seconds left to tie the game at 49-49, but then fouled Washington to send her to the line for the game winner.
