Odorizzi and his Highland teammates won the Illinois State High School Championship on Saturday.
Odorizzi added to his growing legend as a player by throwing a pitch that broke the aluminum bat of an opponent over the weekend. The other player then asked Odorizzi to autograph the broken bat.
On Sunday, the Highland baseball team led the Annual Schweizerfest Parade through downtown Highland.
This was the first trip to State for the Highland baseball team in 50 years. |
